Ride in the shadows of convicts as you experience grim gaols, colonial outposts and harrowing tales of settlement. day one
Depart for Orford. Commence your ride on the bikes for a full morning's journey south. Continue down the east coast to cruise alongside Marion Bay and lunch at a stylish waterfront café in Dunalley. Transfer past Pirates Bay lookout on the Tasman Peninsula, to spend the afternoon exploring the Port Arthur Historic Site. Gourmet BBQ dinner at an historic colonial outstation. Overnight at a heritage b&b.

day two
Half day cycling in the region, visiting convict-built coal mines with a picnic lunch at Lime Bay. Climb up to the top of a rocky hill to a thrilling descent down to the beautiful Fortescue Bay. After a picnic lunch and maybe a refreshing swim, drive to Cambridge for an osyter tasting at Barilla Bay. Ride it all off again on the road to Richmond (award-winning colonial village with Australia's oldest bridge and Catholic church). Overnight and dinner in a stylish b&b.

day three
Visit nearby Bonorong Wildlife Park to meet the local wildlife, then ride amongst the vineyards to Meadowbank Estate Vineyard Restaurant. A vineyard platter and good coffee later, take the final ride over Grasstree Hill to Risdon Vale then travel to classy Moorilla Estate for a wine tasting and some local cheeses. Ride into Hobart for a 5:30pm celebratory drink and finish.
