Epic East Coast Tour3 Days/2 Nights (417 km)
Spend the weekend cruising at high speed up Tasmania's scenic East Coast. This is the first three days of the longer 10 day Epic tour of Tasmania. If you don't have the time to come over for the entire 10 days or think it might be a little beyond you at this stage, then this 3 day long weekend option may just be the best thing for you. Starts in Hobart, and finishes in Launceston with two nights accommodation in Swansea and St Helens.
Itinerary: Starting in Hobart on Saturday 18 March 2006, ride with your group over Bust-Me-Gall and Break-Me-Neck hills to rest in Swansea. The following day, commence the long haul to St Helens. This is predominantly a long flat and fast ride on the coastal road alongside pristine white beaches, with a short detour inland up the notorious Elephant Pass to St Marys. The final day follows a stage of the Tour of Tasmania, via Weldborough Pass through Scotsdale then over the Sidling to Launceston.
