Cycling on Tasmania's east coast is one of Australia's truly spectacular coastal journeys. On this extraordinary cycle tour, you'll coast along peninsulas with pristine white beaches, pass quaint colonial villages and challenge your perspective. See pristine, sandy beaches, breathtaking ocean views, relict rainforest, fossil-filled cliffs, azure waters, pink granite peaks and famous national parks. Savour superb food and delicious wines along the way to tempt any gourmet.

Completely different from the rugged mountainous west coast, the east is blessed with a calmer, mild climate with ever-changing terrain and scenery. This East Coast cycling tour takes you through a temperate natural paradise nearly 300km from north to south.

7 day West Coast Cycling

Cycling on Tasmania's west coast will make you feel like you're riding with the dinosaurs through one of the last great temperate wilderness areas on Earth amidst ancient Gondwanan landscapes. Feel empowered by Tasmania's frontier country, coasting beneath majestic man ferns, up craggy mountains, around glinting glacial tarns and lakes and into the playground of the shy Tasmanian Devil.

The west coast is rugged, mountainous and completely wild, with a temperamental climate and unpredictable weather patterns, throwing down a challenge to those that wish to explore it. Well worth the effort, this constantly changing terrain is a mixture of challenging and frequent hill climbs combined with breathtaking winding downhills and stunning views. You won't forget these 7 days too soon.

13 day Entire Tassie Tour

Tasmania is the cycle isle. Our east and west coasts are vastly different, and if you've got a spare two weeks, then go no further, this is the best find of your life. To ride around the entire island state of Tasmania is an achievement most people will never ever attain. It can be tough on the west, but the uphills have the one thing that easy flat riding doesn't - downhills!

Start and finish in Launceston, cruise down the east coast getting warmed up. Have a recovery day in Hobart to stretch the legs and undertake some retail therapy or enjoy an activity other than cycling. Then head up the west coast since you're legs are in the zone, and extend your limits with 6 days on the bike in some of the most amazing scenery on earth.
