Tasmania is such a fantastic cycle touring state. With light traffic, good roads, spectacular scenery and lots of rolling hills, this little gem of an island is fast becoming a mecca for cycle tourists. Having been brought up in Tasmania, I understand that there are so many areas of this state that people would find captivating. I now endeavour to show visitors to this state that there are better ways to explore than just by sitting behind the windscreen of a car. The sight of the coastline, the sound of the waves, the smell of the rainforest, and the feel of the wind on your face are so appealing to me that I think everyone should have the chance for this experience.

A couple of years ago we added Victoria's iconic Great Ocean Road to the mix with a tour in both the Classic and Epic programs. Now we have tours in New Zealand and can operate group trips in any state of Australia.

Cycling for many is an activity well beyond their comfort zones. On our trips, a small group of specialised, experienced cyclists who are the backbone of Island Cycle Tours and will cater to your every need. The guides set the tone of the trip. They are conveyers of knowledge, highly trained, skilled individuals, each with their own personality and background.

Our Tasmanian Classic cycle tours are for those that want a cycling holiday but with a touch of leisure and other activities thrown in to the mix. Cyclists travel 50-80km per day (more if you wish), over the most beautiful coastal and mountainous regions of Tasmania, Victoria and New Zealand.

Epic tours have become very popular these days - aiming at the more serious cyclist, these 140km+ per day tours are the most challenging of all trips, and certainly require a fair amount of experience and determination. This style is now offered in New Zealand, Tasmania and Victoria. in 2009.
